Ajay Mehta is competing for a nomination for the 2017 Primetime Emmy Awards in the catecory of Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy series. This year Ajay has been nominated for two performances - In 'Scream Queens' playing Dr. Arthur Annenburg in season 2 ep. 9 "Lovin' the D' and on 'The Good Place' as Waqas Al-Jamil in season 1 ep. 5 "Category 55 Emergency Doomsday Crisis". It is a talent-rich category including other such notable actors as Fred Armisen, Ed Begley Jr., Cedric the Entertainer, Nathan Fillion, Richard Masur, Bradley Whitford, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Jason Schwartzmann and Chris Pine.
